With profound sadness, we announce  passing of technical and cave diving instructor Adam Jacoub, who died on July 18, 2026, following a technical diving incident. The diving community has lost a passionate educator and a respected voice for safety.

The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation by the appropriate authorities. Out of respect for Adam, his grieving family, his close friends, and everyone involved, Diventures Magazine will not publish or discuss unconfirmed details. We believe in honoring his memory with dignity and allowing the investigative process to unfold with integrity.

This loss feels especially poignant as Adam was a recent and powerful voice on our platform. Only a short time ago, he joined us on the Divers’ Tales Podcast for an important conversation about cave diving safety, prompted by the recent tragedy in the Maldives. In that episode, he shared his deep experience and hard-won knowledge with characteristic honesty, responsibility, and a genuine desire to educate.
